How it works
JSON in, JSON out. Built for teams who need to show their work — not just get an answer.
POST a name to /screen with your API key. JSON in, JSON out.
Each candidate returns a confidence score, the source list it came from, the exact alias that matched, the record details, and a recommended action.
Every response is signed with Ed25519. Verify it offline against our public key, then store the whole envelope as your audit artifact.
The dashboard
Not everyone wants to write code to run a compliance check. The dashboard gives you the same five-list screening as the API — single lookups, bulk CSV uploads, and offline signature verification — behind a form.
Single-name screening
Same confidence scores, source attribution, and signed receipts as the API.
Bulk CSV screening
Drop a spreadsheet. Auto-detects the name column, screens every row, and exports a signed audit ledger.
Verify receipts offline
Paste a single receipt or a bulk export. Every signature is checked in your browser against /pubkey — nothing leaves the page.
Single screening
POST /screenHizballah
ESCALATE · 3No account needed. Your API key stays in your browser's local storage.
Features
OFAC (US), OFSI (UK), SEMA (Canada), DFAT (Australia), and the EU Consolidated list — 53,856 entities, 96,975 name variants.
Double Metaphone phonetics plus token-level scoring. "Victor Bout" matches "Viktor Anatoljevitch Bout".
Every match carries a 0–100 score and the list it came from. 95+ is escalate. 70–94 is manual review.
Each response includes an Ed25519 signature and public key. Verify any result offline, months later.
Every response reports which build of which list was checked — per-source entity counts and timestamps included.
Diacritics, punctuation, inverted name order, whitespace — all normalized. "LOPEZ, Maria Carmen" ≡ "Maria del Carmen Lopez".
Pay by card via Paddle or in USDT/USDC via NOWPayments. Same API, same receipts.
In-memory phonetic and trigram indexes. No database of your queries, ever.
The API
Sigeel screens individual and entity names against five public sanctions lists — OFAC, UK, Canada, Australia, and the EU — and returns ranked matches with a 0–100 confidence score, which list each hit came from, a recommended action, and a cryptographically signed receipt.

FAQ
Five lists: the US OFAC SDN list, the UK OFSI Consolidated List, the Canadian SEMA list, the Australian DFAT Consolidated List, and the EU Consolidated Financial Sanctions List. Combined coverage is 53,856 entities and 96,975 name variants. We do not currently include the UN or Swiss SECO lists — those are distributed under terms that restrict commercial redistribution. Full attribution at /sources.
No. Sigeel is a screening tool. A "clear" result does not confirm someone is unsanctioned, and a "match" does not confirm they are sanctioned. Results must be reviewed by a qualified person as part of your own compliance process. This is not legal advice.
Card payments are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Crypto payments are processed by NOWPayments. Both methods get you the same API and the same signed receipts.
GET /pubkey returns the current Ed25519 public key. The signature is over the canonical JSON body (sorted keys, compact separators, UTF-8). Any Ed25519 library can verify it.
Screenings continue and are billed at $0.01 each. Your response includes a usage.overage field so you always know where you stand.
That's the point. Double Metaphone phonetics and token-level scoring mean "Victor" matches "Viktor", inverted name order still matches, and diacritics are normalized. Weak matches land in manual review instead of disappearing.
No. Requests are processed in memory and not persisted. We store a monthly counter per API key for billing — nothing about who you screened.
All five lists are rebuilt on a daily schedule. Every response tells you the build timestamp and per-source entity counts, so you can prove which version of which list a screening ran against.
Use your recovery token. Click "Lost your key? Rotate it" on the pricing card, paste your recovery token, and you'll get a fresh key instantly. Your old key is revoked. No account, no email needed.
Start with 100 free screenings a month. No credit card. Signed receipts from your very first call.
